Andy Cohen opens up on the evolution of real housewives fashion. During his appearance as a judge in a recent episode of Project track, Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen the host explained how the style of Housewives has changed over the years.

Andy served as a guest judge in the January 6 installment of project track, in which the seven finalists are tasked with designing and creating reunion dresses for different Real Housewives cast members, including The Real Housewives of Orange Countyby Shannon Beador and Gina Kirschenheiter; The Real Housewives of the Potomacby Gizelle Bryant, Karen Huger and Wendy Osefo; and The Real Housewives of New York Luann de Lesseps and Leah McSweeney.

It’s an epic challenge, especially given how big the reunion has been in recent years, as Andy pointed out. “In the first days of Orange County, the fashion was just terrible,” he said vanity lounge. “If you look at the early years of reunion, Orange County, Atlanta, and New York, they basically wore – I don’t even think what they would wear to a cocktail party. I think it was more what they might wear to a PTA meeting. But gradually, the [reunion fashion] really amped up, and I think people have loved seeing what they’re wearing now. They were meant to be ambitious, and that’s what they are.

Homecoming fashion these days is all about glamor – or, as Andy put it, “For housewives, getting ready for a meeting is like their prom dress. So in the same way, I think it’s a logical challenge.

Regarding the results of the challenge, Andy said, “It was mostly very successful and really exciting. [The Housewives] were all pretty excited afterwards about the experience.
