Kendall Jenner’s white cardigan and jeans gave Audrey Hepburn vibes

So far this summer, heat waves have hit the world hard and prompted many to adjust their clothing choices accordingly. However, as the temperatures balance out and bikinis and cut-off shorts become less necessary, there are more opportunities to dress for fashion rather than survive the scorching weather. On July 19, Kendall Jenner apparently had the right idea with her ensemble: Jenner wore a cropped cardigan and white jeans.

Spotted running errands in Los Angeles, she kept things simple when it comes to her outfit staple – a belly button and cruise-inspired look that’s perfect for getting through a balmy summer’s day and recalls a riskier Audrey Hepburn. The 26-year-old model wore a small coral-colored cardigan as her top from Miaou, high-waisted white jeans and a pair of white kitten heels from The Row to complete her ensemble. She accessorized with black oval sunglasses (a signature for Jenner), silver hoop earrings, a black leather flap bag and a black leather belt.

The look seemed breathable and effortlessly chic. It was also somewhat familiar: Earlier this month, she shared a photo of herself in the same cardigan, which she wore over a tiny yellow bikini — a perfect example of the aforementioned sartorial standard.

Of course, wearing an outfit that’s both breathable and effortlessly stylish is summer essential, whether it’s a sweltering day by the pool or a windier day in the city. Do like Jenner and opt for a belly-baring unbuttoned cardigan with lightweight jeans for frolicking in the warmer months ahead. If you’re not a fan of color combinations, you can play around with a palette you prefer.
